There has been much talk recently about how difficult it is to find a park to hold a wedding, to ensure exclusivity and still remain on budget.

Bicentennial Park in Sydney Olympic Park provides the perfect venue for a wedding, set amongst some of Sydney’s prettiest vistas over rolling hills and gardens; Bicentennial Park provides a wonderful venue for a wedding, at an exceedingly reasonable price.

Similarly the award-winning WatervieW function centre provides an outstanding wedding reception venue catering from 60 to 650 guests within Bicentennial Park, and only a short stroll from the Park’s many wedding ceremony and photographic sites.

"The number of weddings, receptions and photography bookings has been steadily increasing, and this year looks like the best yet" said the WatervieW’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Kathryn Carmody.

"Last year WatervieW hosted over 200 wedding receptions, we had over 80 ceremony and photography bookings within the park and we are going on to break all records this year and again next year so, the word is certainly spreading".

Unlike many parks, couples can hire any of Bicentennial Park’s six wedding sites for their exclusive use, for a period of four hours, for a set fee of just $330 which includes a Park Ranger to ensure the site is immaculately presented and the day runs smoothly.

Photography at any of the Park’s 11 popular photography sites only costs $110 with no time limit and no charge for pre-wedding photo’s or rehearsals.

So while the bridal party can relax, secure in the knowledge that they have exclusivity of their booking, the guests can retire to the WatervieW to enjoy an outstanding reception venue. WatervieW even has a fully licensed cafe on site to accommodate guests should there be a wait between the ceremony and the reception.

WatervieW provides expansive vista’s over Lake Belvedere and the park’s gardens, while the award winning kitchen staff serve up the best in local and international cuisine.

Finally, if the big day is washed out, couple’s can take some solace that all is not lost, unlike many venues, Bicentennial Park provides a wet weather refund of 90% of their site hire fees and where possible WatervieW will step in to accommodate the ceremony in one of their 5 function rooms.

Bicentennial Park and the WatervieW, a winning wedding combination.
